Navigate to the Vehicles page from your dashboard and click 'Add Vehicle'. Fill in your RV's details including make, model, year, and VIN. You can also upload photos and set it as your primary vehicle.
At minimum, you'll need the make, model, and year. For full functionality, we recommend adding the VIN (for recall tracking), current mileage, and tire information. You can always add more details later.
Go to your vehicle's detail page and select 'Maintenance'. You can add maintenance items with intervals (by date or mileage), log completed services, and view upcoming maintenance. RigMate will notify you when services are due.
Yes! RigMate is available as a mobile app for Android. Visit the Get App page in the menu or go to myrigmate.com to download it. The app works on your phone just like the website with the same login.
Maintenance schedules are calculated based on the intervals you set (time-based, mileage-based, or both). RigMate tracks your last service date and mileage to determine when the next service is due, showing items as 'Due Soon' when within 7 days or 500 miles of the threshold.
Yes! While RigMate includes common maintenance items like oil changes and tire rotations, you can create custom items for any service specific to your RV. Simply click 'Add Maintenance Item' and define your own name, description, and intervals.
From the Maintenance page, find the item you completed and click 'Log Service'. Enter the date, mileage, cost, and any notes. The next due date will automatically be calculated based on your intervals.
A maintenance item is marked 'overdue' when it has passed its scheduled due date or mileage threshold. We recommend completing overdue maintenance as soon as possible to keep your RV in optimal condition and maintain warranty coverage.
Yes! When adding maintenance items, you can choose from manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules. These are pre-configured with the correct intervals for common RV components. You can also customize them after adding.
Premium users can export maintenance records as PDF reports or CSV spreadsheets. Go to your vehicle's Maintenance page and click the Export button. PDF gives you a formatted report, CSV is great for spreadsheets. This is useful for warranty claims or selling your RV.
Go to your vehicle's detail page and select 'Tires'. Click 'Add Tire' and enter the position (e.g., front left), brand, model, size, DOT code, and installation date. You can add all tires at once or one at a time.
Green (Good): Tire is in good condition. Yellow (Monitor): Approaching replacement age or has minor concerns. Orange (Replace Soon): Should be replaced within the next few months. Red (Replace Now): Exceeded safe age limits or has critical issues.
Tire age is calculated from the DOT code on your tire sidewall. The last 4 digits indicate the week and year of manufacture (e.g., 2521 = week 25 of 2021). RV tires should generally be replaced every 5-7 years regardless of tread depth due to rubber degradation.
RigMate monitors your tire ages and sends you alerts when tires are approaching or exceeding recommended replacement age. You'll see these alerts on your dashboard and can also receive push notifications if enabled in Settings.
RigMate supports PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and common document formats. Maximum file size is 10MB per document. For larger files, we recommend compressing or splitting them before upload.
Free accounts include 100MB of document storage. Premium subscribers get 5GB of storage, plus the ability to upload larger files (up to 25MB each). You can view your current usage in Settings.
Navigate to your vehicle's Documents section and click 'Upload Document'. Select your file, choose a document type (registration, insurance, manual, etc.), add an optional description, and click Upload.
Go to the Fuel section from your vehicle's page. Click 'Add Fuel Entry' and enter the date, gallons filled, total cost, mileage, and whether it was a full tank. RigMate will calculate your MPG and cost per mile automatically.
Fuel economy is calculated between full fill-ups. When you fill your tank completely and mark it as a full tank, RigMate divides the miles driven since your last full fill-up by the gallons added. For the most accurate results, always fill to full and mark partial fills accordingly.
Yes! The Fuel Stats section shows your average MPG, cost per mile, total fuel spending, and trends over time. This helps you monitor your RV's fuel efficiency and budget for trips.
Go to the Trips section and click 'Add Trip'. Enter the trip name, destination, dates, start and end mileage, and any notes. You can also link fuel entries and expenses to trips for a complete cost breakdown.
The Route Planner helps you plan RV-safe routes between locations. Enter your start and end points, and RigMate will calculate a route suitable for your RV's dimensions. You can also find campgrounds and points of interest along your route.
Go to the Campgrounds section and search by location or campground name. You can filter results by amenities, ratings, and distance. Each campground listing includes details like amenities, contact info, and address.
Yes! When using the Route Planner, you can search for campgrounds along your planned route. This helps you find stopping points for multi-day trips.
RigMate checks the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) database for recalls related to your vehicle. Enter your VIN on the vehicle detail page and we'll look up any active or past recalls for your specific make, model, and year.
Yes, RigMate periodically checks for new recalls on your vehicles. If a new recall is found, you'll see it on your dashboard and in the Recalls section of your vehicle. Premium users can also receive SMS notifications for critical recalls.
The Inspection feature provides a guided pre-trip checklist to help you inspect your RV before hitting the road. It covers key areas like tires, lights, fluids, hitch connections, and safety equipment. You can save completed inspections for your records.
Premium includes: unlimited vehicles, 5GB document storage, advanced maintenance analytics, recall notifications via SMS, trip planning features, export to PDF/CSV, fuel tracking, campground search, route planning, priority support, and early access to new features.
Go to Settings and select 'Subscription'. Choose your preferred plan (monthly or annual) and complete the secure checkout. Your premium features will be activated immediately. Annual plans include a 20% discount.

Subscriptions run until the end of the current billing period. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access until that period ends but are not charged again. For billing issues or special circumstances, contact support and we'll work with you.
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. If you're logged in, you can change your password from Settings > Security.
Go to Settings > Security and click 'Enable 2FA'. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm setup. You'll also receive backup codes -- save these in a safe place in case you lose access to your authenticator.
When prompted for your 2FA code during login, use one of the backup codes you saved when setting up 2FA. Each backup code can only be used once. If you've lost your backup codes too, contact support and we'll verify your identity to help restore access.
Go to Settings > Account and scroll to 'Delete Account'. This action is permanent and will remove all your data including vehicles, maintenance records, and documents. We recommend exporting your data first.
Premium users can export all data from Settings > Data Export. Choose your preferred format (PDF for a summary report, or CSV for spreadsheet import). Free users can upgrade to access this feature.
RigMate can send you push notifications for maintenance reminders, tire alerts, and recall notices. Enable notifications in Settings > Notifications. On the web, you'll be prompted to allow browser notifications. On the mobile app, notifications are enabled by default.
Yes, Premium users can opt in to SMS notifications for important alerts like recall notices and overdue maintenance. Go to Settings > Notifications to enable SMS and provide your phone number. Standard messaging rates may apply.
Go to the Support section in the app menu and click 'New Ticket'. Describe your issue, select a category, and submit. You can attach screenshots or files to help us understand the problem. You'll receive updates via email and can track your ticket status in the app.
We aim to respond to all tickets within 24-48 hours. Many common questions are answered instantly by our AI assistant when you submit a ticket. Premium users receive priority support with faster response times.
You can submit a support ticket through the app, email us at [email protected], or visit our support page at support.myrigmate.com. We're here to help!
RigMate requires an internet connection to sync your data. However, if you lose connection briefly, the app will queue your changes and sync them when you're back online. We recommend having a connection when making important updates.
Click the theme toggle (sun/moon icon) in the app header or go to Settings > Appearance. You can choose Light, Dark, or System (follows your device setting).
The What's New popup appears when we release new features or improvements. It shows you a summary of what changed in the latest version. You can also find it in Settings to review past updates.
